Playgrounds and Powerlines
While taking these pictures I did consider the rule of thirds. For example in the third picture, the one of the powerlines, you can see how the pole is set in the right third and the lines help follow the rule. The first picture of the powerlines in my opinion is successful and has dynamic composition. The lighting and the way the lines are going make the image successful. The picture of the swingset capture many shapes other than just lines. It shows the rings of the chain that connect to swings and bars on ladder. Once again I think the first picture best satisfies this assignment because it perfectly captures the powerlines and the lighting is balanced.
Texture, Pattern, and Rhythm
As you can see these images more nature involved, with the flowers, trees and leaves. While taking these I made sure to get close and really focus in on the image itself to really capture a good quality photo. Of these pictures I really like the one of the leaves. It shows contrast in a way that not all three leaves are the same color, it brings out the white in the image. If all the leaves were the same color it simply would not have the same affect. If I had to reshoot an image it would probably be the tree. I would have liked to get a better angle of the tree and have better lighting conditions better.
Line and Shape
The distance varies throughout the pictures. As you can see some are from a distance while some are up close, like the rock wall. When taking these pictures I kept the camera straight but at times the camera was almost ground level, as you can see in the second image. While shooting I did consider the rule of thirds in some shots. For example if you look at the fifth picture of the side of the school, you can notice the many lines that compose the rule of thirds. The mostly successful picture of this collection would be the one of the bike rack. The viewer can clearly find the rule of thirds and having the bike in the picture can draw attention to the eye.
